CDC: One-in-two Americans will have mental health issue

A report from the CDC says that about 25% of Americans experienced mental illness in the past year, and experts project that about half will suffer a form of mental illness in their lifetime. The cost of mental illness, including treatment and lost productivity, was roughly $300 billion in 2002. A 2009 study revealed that as many as 1 million Americans attempted suicide in 2008.
