New ICD-10 CM code U07.1 was added starting from April 1, 2020
CDC has provided instruction which clarifies the diagnosis coding
guidelines including
- the sequence of codes application;
- reporting of Acute respiratory illness caused by coronavirus;
- reporting of symptoms without a confirmed case of infection;
- coding of possible exposure to COVID-19;
