| In accordance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) directive to include information and opinions from members of the general public as part of the local coverage determination (LCD) process, National Government Services will host open, public meetings at which interested parties may submit scientific, evidence-based information, professional consensus opinions or other information relevant to the development of LCDs. Customarily, open meetings are held to discuss draft LCDs being presented to the public and advisory committees for comment. As there are no draft LCDs being presented in September 2011, there will be no open meeting until early 2012. | |
