iSmart EHR Successfully Certified to 2015 Edition!

WCH Company is progressing and developing day by day. We are proud of the achievements of the whole company, each department, and each individual employee. One of the latest and very significant success is that WCH iSmart Electronic Health Record (EHR) software received industry the highest recognition “Certificate of Health IT Compliance, 2015 Edition”. Forty-three modules and twenty electronic clinical quality measures have been tested and certified by Drummond Group. We can say that Drummond Group’s accredited lab and certification body is a guarantee of that our “customers can rest easy knowing that they are selecting a workable, interoperable solution that will do what it is supposed to do”.

Process of iSmart EHR Certification.

Preparation of several modules began in 2016. "We had two testing days. The first wave was held on March 7, 2017. The second - on October 2, 2017,"- says WCH Web Development Manager Adiz Abdullaev.  "Each testing day lasts 8 hours with a live demonstration of EHR functionality. Once we passed the first testing day, we had to postpone certification work until the software is certified. There were also several challenging criteria that required adaptation, which we did in 2017 before the second testing day. The most difficult point in certification was that testing requirements and data may be changed while your preparation. For example, we hold usability testing at the end of February 2017, but two weeks before the final test date requirements were significantly changed and we had to manage the situation. However, we overcame all obstacles and can be proud of what achieved.”

You may be wondering what it means for providers who choose our EHR?

iSmart EHR has certified capabilities to report measures on such Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) categories as “Quality” or “Advancing Care Information” as well as measures under Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive Program. In 2018, eligible clinicians who participate in MIPS will be given a bonus for using only 2015 Edition Compliant Electronic Health Record System. Of course, a lot of EHR systems became certified to 2015 Edition. However, one of the absolute advantages of iSmart is customer support. WCH has EHR advisor who communicates with iSmart users and always provides detailed information they need.

We hope current version of the iSmart system will help our clients with reporting and everyday workflow. Speaking of future, we are committed to certification requirements so that iSmart stays an up-to-date system.
